The GVB will be serving in General Tom Jessee's Brigade, portraying Benning's Georgia Brigade for the majority of the weekend. We will portray elements of Pettigrews Brigade for Pickett's Charge. The Brigade will serve in Gen. Jack King's Division, (aka "Hood's Division) out of Texas for the weekend.
Registration: Gen. King's Headquarters is a well-organized group out of Texas. They are asking that all military registrations are done on the company level, and then through his headquarters to the event organizers in Pennsylvania. There will also be an optional 1-mile march into Gettysburg on Thursday to replicate Early's march into the town, and the demand on the city fathers. If you are interested in doing the march, there is an additional $5 fee to cover the cost of water wagons, as well as the police/ambulance presence. The march is open to military participants only.
Registration Options:
1) Military Reenactor Participating in the March: Send Registration Form, Fee+$5 to your company commander. Company commander will compile and send forms in.
2) Military Reenactor NOT Participating in March: Send Registration Form and Fee to your company commander. Company commander will compile and send forms in.
3) Non-Military Reenactor: No participation in March is allowed. Register through event website at www.gettysburgreenactment.com
